GoLLM Selected for Scotland’s Prestigious Converge Challenge
GoLLM is proud to have been selected for the Converge Challenge – Scotland’s flagship enterprise programme for high-calibre, innovative projects with serious growth potential. Open to university-affiliated founders with breakthrough ideas, the Converge Challenge is highly competitive, offering participants business training, expert mentoring, and the opportunity to compete for substantial equity-free funding.
The overall Converge programme received over 300 applications and only 50 were selected. We are part of the Challenge category, the programme’s most competitive track for commercially-ready businesses. With a top prize of £50,000 in equity-free cash and £17,250 in business support, this track attracts ventures poised for significant scale.
As part of the programme, earlier this month we took part in Inside Innovation, Converge’s annual showcase of academic entrepreneurship. Held at the Everyman Cinema in Edinburgh, the event brought together selected innovators from across Scotland, each delivering live pitches to an audience of investors, peers, and business leaders.
Representing GoLLM on stage was our Research Lead, Chunche Lee, who introduced our Dynamic Analytics and Visualisation Engine (D.A.V.E.) — a platform that helps organisations turn feedback into structured, actionable insights. While Chunche is typically more comfortable leading research than public speaking, he embraced the challenge with focus and determination. With support from the GoLLM team and guidance from Converge’s contracted Entrepreneur Business School, he delivered a strong, authentic pitch that reflected both his individual growth and our team’s collaborative spirit.
As Converge Executive Director Adam Kosterka noted:
“Giving Scotland’s aspiring academic entrepreneurs the chance to articulate their vision is absolutely essential, and our national showcase provides that vital stage. Based on what I’ve heard this evening, this year’s cohort are developing innovations with immense potential and I’m genuinely excited to see how they progress.”
With the next milestone being the submission of our business plan at the end of July, we’re excited to continue in the programme through to the autumn and hopeful for the opportunity to advance to the final stage.
We’re grateful to the Converge team, the funders and supporters of the programme, and our fellow participants for creating such a vibrant and supportive environment. We’ve come away energised—with valuable feedback, fresh connections, and renewed momentum for the journey ahead.
With special thanks to Converge sponsors
