GoLLM Internship Reflection

During my 6 month internship with GoLLM Limited as a Project Management intern, I had the chance to be a part of a wonderful and driven team that is focused on delivering accurate results fast. For those who don’t know, GoLLM Limited is a recently established company headquartered in Edinburgh, Scotland with the vision of using artificial intelligence to streamline the way we use survey data to gather insights. Our primary development is D.A.V.E. - the Dynamic Analytics Visualisation Engine - who’s designed to be your partner in uncovering such insights and help you throughout the decision making process. Joining as an intern in the early stages of this company not only allowed me to work on several meaningful projects and cultivate my skills, but to also get to know all the amazing people who have all come together from all across  the world to share their knowledge and build something great as a team.

One of the most valuable aspects of my internship was gaining an understanding of how a company is built and run from the ground up. Meeting with and working closely with the Founder and CEO Daniel Shorr allowed me to understand all the time and effort he and the team put into building GoLLM into what it is today. I was intrigued by the story of how the company began. At first it was just an idea between the founders, but with time and by recruiting talented people from all around the world, GoLLM grew into a company that has built a real product that makes a positive impact and has won many case challenges and competitions for its visionary work. I’ve also come to appreciate start-up culture and how at the end of the day, everyone is committed towards making their idea into reality.

As a Project Management intern, I played a key role in managing several important tasks. I conducted competitor research and analysis to help inform strategic decisions regarding our survey analytics and reporting features. I also promoted our product, D.A.V.E., and its capabilities by creating marketing infographics aimed at potential investors during funding competitions. Additionally, I contributed by expanding our marketing reach and scope by updating our website’s content and visuals to better portray our goals. Working through each of these projects alongside Daniel Shorr and the rest of the GoLLM team allowed me to pick up valuable skills in project management, marketing and web design that I will carry with me forward.

My time with GoLLM has been a wonderful learning experience and has allowed me to deep dive into my interests of AI and machine learning. It’s inspiring to see how people can come together from across all sorts of backgrounds to build a cutting edge product from concept to launch, especially in such an emerging field where technology and research is key. This experience has not only strengthened my technical and creative skills, but also deepened my appreciation for collaborative innovation and forward thinking. As my internship comes to a close, I’m excited about two things for the future, first, to apply the knowledge and experience I’ve gain here at GoLLM throughout my academic and professional journey, and second to see how D.A.V.E.’s capabilities grow as AI and LLM technology advances in coming years.

Thanks to the entire GoLLM team for a wonderful internship experience, and wishing you all the best!
